Our GAP Program: Lifetime Membership

 

Theta Nu Xi is the first multicultural sorority to offer an established Graduate, Alumnae, and Professional (GAP) Program, through which post-collegiate women who desire to be involved in the Sorority may do so.  Women can be initiated into GAP chapters as well as undergraduate chapters, and our undergraduate sisters have the opportunity to continue membership in Theta Nu Xi once they graduate, making this truly a lifetime experience!  Thus, the GAP program is a crucial component of the Sorority's structure.  GAP is different from the undergraduate experience as it allows for more of a focus on the professional development and personal support of individual members during a time when many life-changing decisions are made - marriage, children, home ownership, graduate school, career advancement, etc.

 

The program provides an incredible network of women across the world who are pursuing professional careers and lifestyles.  GAP women serve on the National Board, support the undergraduate sisterhood as advisors, and participate in all aspects of Sorority operations including expansion teams, national committees, ONEVision - the official Sorority newsletter, and more.  There are currently 21 GAP chapters across the country, including a GAP Anchor chapter, which serves women who are not in close proximity to a physical chapter.
