Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc.
Resilient Rho Chapter
"What do butterflies DO?"
One of the most common questions we hear as members of a multicultural sorority is "What do you do?" Our best answer is that we live by our tenets, which are Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, Leadership, and Multiculturalism. Here are some examples of how:
Scholarship...Soror Katerina Pham studying hard for a Neuroscience exam. Our chapter GPA is among the highest of all Greek Organizations on Muhlenberg's campus because of study efforts such as these! | MORE Scholarship...In addition to receiving numerous awards for our dedication to our academic studies, two of our recent graduates, Kathleen Rogers and Jane Lee, wrote honors theses in Political Science and Philosophy, respectively. These pictures feature them caught offguard by fellow Sisters at their theses defenses! We are so proud! | Even MORE Scholarship...A snapshot of one of our less productive, but more fun, sisterhood study hours. There's no better distraction than sisters like these! |

Service...The chapter set up a photo station at Muhlenberg College's first annual Fall Fest, where we took photos of Allentown community members and their families with our autumn setup. | MORE Service...In celebration of Pi(e) Day, 3/14, the Chapter hosts an annual pie sale and all of our proceeds go to Girls For a Change, our national philanthropy. Featured in this collage are some of our very satisfied customers (including Robin Riley-Casey, our Multicultural Life Director (top right) and Dean Green, our Dean of Students, (bottom right))! | Leadership...Because of our small chapter size, our members typically hold between 2 and 5 leadership roles each within the chapter. Beyond that, they are often leaders of other campus clubs. The picture featured above features our Regional Director Jessica Penaranda, three of our sisters from Ramapo College, and two Rho chapter alumnae at the 2015 Cultural Greek Leadership Conference. |
Multiculturalism...Sorors Tali Ramo, Emeley Rodriguez, Cristina Perdomo, Stephanie Pasternak, Katerina Pham, and Jane Lee. The sisters performed at Muhlenberg's Black Student Association's Block Party stepping and strolling. Scroll down to check out a video of the performance! | Sisterhood...This photo of Sam Chu and Caitlin Eng (Line Sisters!) was taken at Bake Oven Knob, a beautiful spot up in the mountains near Allentown. The Rho Chapter has sisterhood weekends, where we plan various events such as going to the movies, doing crafts, painting pottery, ordering Chipotle, and in this case, doing sunrise hikes! | MORE Sisterhood...Our chapter sister Cristina (center) played a lead role in one of Muhlenberg's plays this past Spring and the whole chapter went to support her. Sam Chu (far left), who graduated early in Fall 2015, even traveled from NYC to be there. Our sisterhood is truly something special. |
Theta Nu Xi at "Bridging the Gap: A Block Party"
The Rho Chapter sisters had the honor of performing at Muhlenberg College's Black Students' Association's block party! It was a beautiful day for stepping and strolling, and the party was well-supported by the Muhlenberg community, as well as the greater Allentown district. Check out the performance below!
